The Program Manager, Technical Operations Outreach and Recruitment reports to the Technical Operations Business Manager and works closely and collaboratively with Base Management and Talent Acquisition and serves as the Technical Operations’ primary point of contact for Technician recruitment and hiring, building/fostering relationships with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) schools, and managing the Endeavor to Delta Technician hiring strategy. The position will work closely with Human Resources Talent Acquisition team and Tech Ops Management with all aspects of outreach and recruitment, including a focus on candidate assessment, interviewing and selection.

This position will require extensive travel and due to these travel requirements, the position location may be at any Endeavor Air Maintenance Base.

Responsibilities

  • Attend A&P school recruitment events and conduct interviews with candidates for Tech Ops positions along with the talent acquisition representative.
  • Review applicant information and select candidates for positions through interviews and scoring matrices for all Tech Ops locations.
  • Establish and build business partnerships with A&P schools and other aviation industry partners to network and support the recruitment program.
  • Oversee and coordinate the Endeavor to Delta hiring program.
  • Attend A&P school advisory committee meetings and represent Endeavor Tech Ops in discussions.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and marketing of Tech Ops’ recruitment program including collateral materials, handouts, etc. in coordination with the Talent Acquisition and Communications teams.
  • Develop and conduct presentations for students attending A&P schools in collaboration with the talent acquisition representative.
  • Analyze and report to HR and Tech Ops management on the effectiveness of Technician recruitment programs and feedback for continuous program development and improvement.
  • Coordinate with talent acquisition to schedule and attend various recruiting events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Airframe and Powerplant license required
  • Experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation or a combination of education and related experience
  • Project management and/or program development skills preferred
  • Have exceptional interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation communication skills and able to work with all levels of staff in an organization
  • Experience with recruitment and selection is preferred
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • Analytical, interpretive and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi task efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines
  • PC proficient in Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work additional hours including evenings and weekends as necessary
  • Repetitive motion such as typing and phone work
  • Office environment: typically at a desk working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift, bend, push and pull up to 40 pounds
  • Can involve prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting
  • Travel up to 80% including multiple overnight trips
