    Overview

    The Director, Hub Operations is responsible for the safe, consistent and efficient operation of Endeavor’s hub operations through planning, communication, monitoring and follow-through on programs related to the Company’s performance goals and operational standards. Lead cross-divisional team including base Chief Pilot, Inflight Base Manager, Maintenance Base Manager and ACC Manager to monitor the effects of policies and procedures, recommending change as necessary to support Endeavor’s mission. Develop direct relationships serving as liaison between Endeavor and Delta Air Lines Senior Leadership.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead hub performance by developing, implementing, controlling and monitoring operating plan and initiatives.
    • Direct, train and lead ACC Manager(s) in effectively managing hub operations.
    • Act as the primary liaison and communications facilitator between Endeavor Air, Delta Air Lines leadership, vendor leadership, the Port Authority and governmental agencies.
    • Provide oversight and management of Endeavor’s properties, facilities and contracts.
    • Ensure service providers possess the knowledge, skills, resources and experience to conduct safe and secure operations.
    • Ensure irregularities are fully investigated, documented and that appropriate corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.
    • Responsible for the leadership and implementation of safety initiatives, on-time operational performance, customer service initiatives and programs, baggage services initiatives, IROP management and recovery plans along with other strategic initiatives for the region.
    • Identify opportunities and execute advanced projects to improve operations, customer service, employee satisfaction, and financial performance.
    • Establish expectations and priorities, drive performance, coach, develop and mentor team, and create a positive, dynamic and collaborative work environment.
    • Preserve and further develop Endeavor’s local community ties.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and equivalent experience
    • Extensive leadership experience in Airline Operations or equivalent business experience
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization utilizing a variety of tools including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
    • Experience in conflict resolution and finding common ground in order to obtain cooperation from others
    • Proven ability to build teams
    • Expert ability to multi-task with superior organizational skills
    • Ability to anticipate roadblocks and plan appropriately to mitigate risks
    • Excellent critical thinking and decision making capabilities
    • Demonstrated leadership experience and knowledge of airline operations (airport customer service, crew, aircraft performance) in the regional airline environment
    • Position requires some physical exertion such as pulling, pushing, reaching bending, and standing, walking and light lifting not in excess of 30 lbs.
    • Ability to work additional hours which includes nights, weekend and holidays to support the operation
    • Valid driver’s license and passport with the ability to travel in and out of all countries and cities served by Endeavor Air
    •  Travel required up to 20% to attend meetings and support operations
