    Overview

    The Reliability Analyst compiles and provides daily/monthly aircraft technical performance reports and metrics to the technical operations team. Reliability Analysts also compile and distribute various reports to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to satisfy regulatory requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Compile and track the reporting of on-time statistics and technical performance metrics.
    • Pull and organize data from multiple data sources to create reporting.
    • Analyze and codify technical data for import into the Reliability Database.
    • Perform weekly analysis to detect recurring discrepancies.
    • Maintain Component Teardown reports.
    • Prepare and submit daily/monthly reports to the FAA.
    • Submit Service Difficulty Reports (SDR) to the FAA.
    • Prepare and submit monthly reports to Aircraft Manufacturer and other Supply Vendors.
    • Create automated processes where applicable for data extraction, report processing, and distribution.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly, or ad hoc, status reports for technical operations team.
    • Develop data mining queries from system databases and statistical data models for comprehensive analysis.
    • Trend analysis of negative and positive activities effects on technical operations and performance.
    • Assist in the creation of, and monitor performance of new company and departmental goal metrics and policies.
    • Evaluate current process to find efficiencies and to continuously improve the programs.
    • Provide accurate historical data to Aircraft Maintenance Team and other Departments.
    • Participate in monthly reliability meetings.
    • Perform analysis and prepare reports for use by senior management as requested.
    • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Reliability Supervisor.
    • Repetitive motion such as: typing.
    • Minimal physical exertion such as: pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking, and light lifting of boxes, bags files, and electronic equipment not in excess of 30 lbs.
    • Computer work, in a typical office environment sitting for the majority of the day.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Statistics or related field (preferred).
    • 1- 3 years of experience working in a technical analyst/analyst role.
    • Airline industry technical experience is strongly preferred.
    • Strong ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively to meet given time parameters.
    • Experience working with all levels of an organization.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with focus on communication and problem resolution.
    • Strong work ethic, reliable, self-motivated with a positive attitude. Willing to put in extra time, if required, to meet deadlines.
    • Competent in computer programs/skills: MS Excel (advanced), Access, Outlook and Word. Understanding of Sabre, BRIO and Aircraft Maintenance Computer Systems a plus.
