Overview

The Maintenance Planning Intern position at Endeavor Air will integrate knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional workplace.  The Intern will utilize administrative, organizational, communication and critical thinking skills to complete project-based work assignments with an emphasis in the Technical Operations Maintenance Planning Department.

At Endeavor Air, the Technical Operations (Tech Ops) Maintenance Planning Department is responsible for the overall Maintenance forecast, schedule, and execution. The Planning function encompasses operation analytics, forecasts, staffing, and project management. Our department interacts with all levels and departments to obtain information to support all facets of Tech Ops operations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with Engineering, Inventory Planning and the Maintenance Bases to setup and accomplish specific Engineering Orders, Fleet Campaign Directives and Airworthiness Directive driven projects.
  • Coordinates with Daily Maintenance Planners and Operations Control Center (OCC) staff for routing of company aircraft to 4M (Manpower, Method, Material, and Machine) resources according to master schedule to ensure timely completion of Project Review Board (PRB) sponsored aircraft maintenance projects and fleet campaigns.   
  • Performs basic data extraction procedures using Showcase Query, Microsoft Access, or other available applications to support forecasting and analysis of aircraft maintenance tasks. 
  • Provides quality support to the Daily/Line Maintenance Planning team by conducting daily audits of GMM-912s for adherence to published Work Order closing procedures and task compliance integrity. 
  • Forecast and build a long-term plan for at least three high dollar components for all fleets: Engines/Landing Gear/APUs/Fan Disk/HSTAs/Flap Actuators/etc.
  • Set-up and roll-out a small to medium business process within the MX Planning Team.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate concentrate in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, Business, Finance, Industrial Technology, or Aviation Management related degree program with Junior or Senior class standing.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a business environment.
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PC proficiency with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, Programming/Developer software preferred.
  • Effective organizational, time management, & multi-tasking skills.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Ability to work full time (32-40 hours/week) during weekdays, with some schedule flexibility, if needed. 
  • Ability to work and be based in Minneapolis, MN; relocation assistance is not available.
  • Some travel may be required for the position to perform audits and base visits.
  • Minimal physical exertion such as: pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking, and light lifting of boxes, bags files, and electronic equipment not in excess of 30 lbs.
  • Computer work, in a typical office environment sitting for the majority of the day.
