The Crew Services Manager on Duty (MOD) is responsible for the management of daily and short-range schedules for pilots and flight attendants. The Manager on Duty will oversee pilot and flight attendant flight and reserve duty assignments to ensure coverage of the operational schedule is in compliance with federal regulations.

• Provides daily direction and guidance to the Crew Services Coordinators regarding the management of the pilot and flight attendant schedules and staffing to support the operation.
• Ensures that staffing assignments/reassignments are made promptly to minimize the impact on operational performance while still prioritizing safety and regulatory/company compliance.
• Proactively identifies strategies and plans for staffing during regular and irregular operations; assists in the decision-making process for the management of operations with Crew Services and OCC leadership.
• Promotes and fosters a proactive safety culture and the efficient scheduling of all crew members.
• Serves as the direct manager for a team of Crew Coordinators.
• Collaborates with ACC, Dispatch, Maintenance, Flight Ops, and Inflight on staffing matters while ensuring the highest level of teamwork between departments.
• Mentors and assists in the development of the Crew Services Supervisors in coordination with the training department.
• Conducts employee reviews and sets performance goals.
• Ensures phone queues are effectively managed and provides leadership assistance when needed.
• Builds and maintains a collaborative and engaged environment within the Crew Services team by providing positive, encouraging, and informative input and feedback.
• Keeps Crew Services leadership advised on the status of the operation and recovery plan.
• Ensures all personnel within the organization communicate with pilots, flight attendants, and other departments in a courteous and professional manner.

• Will provide supervision and daily guidance for the Crew Coordinators and Lead Coordinators. Will have approximately twelve (12) direct reports.

• Two (2) years of experience in Crew Services.

• One (1) year supervisory experience leading a team.
• Knowledge of FAR 117 and 121 Crew Duty and Rest Regulations.

• Strong leadership skills and experience building on employee strengths and teambuilding.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Reliable and self-motivated.

• Work is typical of an office environment and may involve long periods of sitting.
• Minimal physical exertion such as: pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking, and light lifting of boxes, bags, files, and electronic equipment not in excess of 30 lbs.
• On-call work, outside of normal business hours and including weekends, is required.
• Some travel may be required for meetings/industry events.
