Overview

The Senior Manager, Operations-DTW is responsible for the safe, consistent, and efficient management of the Endeavor Air operation through planning, communication, monitoring and oversight on programs related to the Company’s performance goals and operational standards. Leads the Endeavor Airport Coordination Center management team and works cross-divisionally with Inflight, Flight Operations, Technical Operations, and Ground Operations teams   to support Endeavor’s objectives and goals. Develops direct relationships serving as liaison between Endeavor Air and Delta Air Lines Leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Drive hub performance by developing, implementing, controlling, and monitoring the operating plan and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term employee scheduling strategies based on flight schedule demand to ensure adequate operational coverage.
  • Plan and conduct new hire and recurrent training for ACC management staff.
  • Serve as on-site operational subject matter expert during irregular operations.
  • Provide operational guidance and assistance to local Inflight, Flight Operations, Technical Operations leadership.
  • Assist Director and serve as liaison and communications facilitator between Endeavor Air, Delta Air Lines leadership, vendor leadership, the Airport Authority, and governmental agencies.
  • Participate in daily Endeavor and Delta briefings and conference calls to provide insight to the operation and ensure pertinent hub information is conveyed.
  • Assist Director in evaluating service providers, ensuring they possess the knowledge, skills, resources, and experience to conduct safe and secure operations.
  • Ensure irregularities are fully investigated, documented and that appropriate corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.
  • Responsible for the leadership and implementation of safety initiatives, on-time operational performance, customer service initiatives and programs, baggage services initiatives, IROP management and recovery plans along with other strategic initiatives for the hub
  • Identify opportunities and execute advanced projects to improve operations, customer service, employee satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Work with Director to establish expectations and priorities, drive performance, coach, develop and mentor team, and create a positive, dynamic, and collaborative work environment.
  • Preserve and further develop Endeavor’s local community ties.

Qualifications

  • Five years of experience in Airline Operations or equivalent business experience.
  • Three years people leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory knowledge of airline operations (OCC, airport customer service, crew, aircraft performance) in the regional airline environment skill, preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization utilizing a variety of tools including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Expertise is Sabre suite of products (preferred).
    Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and finding common ground in order to obtain cooperation from others.
  • Proven ability to build teams.
  • Expert ability to multi-task with superior organizational skills.
  • Ability to anticipate roadblocks and plan appropriately to mitigate risks.
  • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
  • Valid driver license and passport.
