Overview

We’re seeking a visionary Director of IOC Planning & Strategy to lead innovation and strategic transformation within our Integrated Operations Center (IOC). This role is ideal for a dynamic leader who thrives at the intersection of technology, analytics, and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Integrated Operations Center (IOC) consistently achieves the highest standards of safety and performance in daily operations.
  • Develop and execute forward-thinking strategic plans that set ambitious long-term goals and define clear pathways to success for the division.
  • Drive and implement transformative change management strategies, ensuring all initiatives align with the IOC’s vision, goals, and priorities.
  • Forge strong partnerships with Crew Services, ACC, and OCC directors, leading cross-functional initiatives that deliver unified results.
  • Leverage operational and divisional data to identify opportunities, optimize performance, and drive continuous efficiency improvements.
  • Define, track, and advance key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure progress and success of strategic initiatives.
  • Lead the adoption and integration of new technologies and automation, overseeing testing, user feedback, and change management to maximize impact.
  • Build and maintain robust stakeholder relationships, ensuring transparent communication, effective information sharing, and actionable feedback on projects and initiatives.
  • Assess the effects of organizational changes, identify risks and opportunities, and develop strategic recommendations for ongoing improvement.
  • Analyze internal and external environments, processes, and business objectives to uncover and capitalize on opportunities for operational advancement.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of training programs for Crew Services, ACC, and Flight Control, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and empowering employees for success.
  • Collaborate with leadership to allocate budgets, staff, and resources efficiently, supporting divisional and organizational goals.
  • Provide expert operational backup for Crew Services and OCC directors as needed, ensuring seamless continuity.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company policies, procedures, FAA regulations, and departmental processes to guide decision-making and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, airline operations, or related field, or equivalent related experience in a strategic planning role preferred.
  • Knowledge of 14CFR Part 121 preferred.
  • Strong understanding of crew scheduling/planning processes and procedures preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience leading people required.
  • 3+ years of experience identifying and implementing business analytics metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience with refining and implementing effective processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of change management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Must be experienced in effectively working with and managing a diverse and inclusive workgroup.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Must be able to work extra hours including weekends/holidays, and travel when necessary.
  • Involves some repetitive motion such as data entry or typing, as well as longer than normal hours and potential stress during irregular operations.
  • Some physical exertion such as pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting, such as boxes, bags, and electronic equipment not in excess of 30 pounds.
  • Can involve long periods of sitting.
  • Computer work, in a typical office environment, subject to critical deadlines.
