Overview

The Manager, Stores is responsible for overseeing the performance of warehouse operations including: inventory, storage, security, shipment, receiving and issuing of aircraft materials.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the direct supervision airport Stores location(s).
  • Responsible for the movement of repairable materials in/out of the Stores locations, working with the Purchasing and Repair Departments to ensure aircraft parts are properly packaged and documented.
  • Supervises, assigns, reviews, and evaluates the work of Stores Team.
  • Provides guidance and feedback regarding employee work performance.
  • Ensures all employees are properly trained and comply with safety and departmental procedures.
  • Maintain and manages employee pay through KRONOS timekeeping.
  • Ensures timely and accurate receipt of inbound purchases and repairs.
  • Responsible for assisting in the reporting and overseeing the proper documentation of shipments.
  • Research and analysis to resolve material issues.
  • Ensures Company inventory and materials are properly accounted for and the required system transactions are completed, according to company standards, to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Reviews process and makes recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Prepares materials needed for daily maintenance readiness and redistribution.
  • Manages work environment to be sure OSHA standards are met and assigned location maintains a safe, neat and orderly operation.
  • Supervises the assigned station’s inventories and audits to ensure the highest accuracy.

  • Supervise and oversee the Aircraft Parts Clerk and Lead Aircraft Parts Clerks at the respective base.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS College degree or a combination of education and related experience.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience including employee selection process and performance management including performance development (preferred).
  • 2-5 years of previous warehouse and inventory and strategic management experience (preferred).
  • Ability to train on Company Dangerous Goods procedures and maintain currency.
  • Prefer experience and knowledge working with an Inventory Management System (RAMCO and PMI).
  • Proficient in: MS Office (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook) and general internet applications.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work any shift and assist the operation as necessary; extra hours as needed.
  • Some business and overnight travel may be required (corporate office location is in MSP).
  • This position requires a valid driver’s license for use of company vehicle(s), must be insurable under company insurance coverage.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Position requires some physical exertion such as pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking and light lifting of boxes, bags, files, etc. not in excess of 30 lbs.
  • Can involve long periods of sitting.  Computer work, in a typical office environment, subject to critical deadlines.
