Overview

The Maintenance Operations Technical Representative’s (MOTR) primary duties are to identify and correct repetitive or AOG maintenance problems, plan and direct efforts of maintenance personnel in repairing aircraft.  Enhance both operational and economical performance capabilities of the aircraft fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and training to technicians for troubleshooting.
  • Develop and build on advanced troubleshooting procedures and tooling to repair repeat aircraft malfunctions.
  • Manages the repetitive discrepancy program and Oil watch programs outlined in the GMM.
  • Improve reliability and provide technical support to planning, MC and technicians throughout the system.
  • Troubleshoot aircraft, avionics and power plant discrepancies with emphasis on preventing items from becoming repetitive and provide guidelines for corrective action.
  • Recommend long-term maintenance strategy to improve reliability.
  • Initiate interaction with appropriate systems engineer and vendor representatives to resolve fleet wide repetitive problems.
  • Analyze and interpret engine performance data and flight data recorder data.
  • Reduce number of out of service aircraft, reduce flight delays/cancellations, ODI’s and RD’s.
  • Review and evaluate new test equipment.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers/vendors/OAL users and Endeavor Air personnel.
  • Correct repetitive or AOG maintenance problems, plan and direct efforts of maintenance personnel in repairing aircraft.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Requires contact with staff and business relationships with management including the FAA.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience.      
  • Must hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant mechanic certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Solid interpersonal and teaching skills.
  • Proficient at reading diagrams and schematics.
  • Knowledge of airline operations.
  • Reliable, self-motivated with a positive attitude, and very customer service oriented.
  • Ability to travel internationally and passport is required within 3 months of hire. Passport expenses are paid for by the employee.
  • Occasional travel to stations for repair and assist with repairs as needed.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, as necessary.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and if position requires use of company vehicle(s), must be insurable under company insurance coverage.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to communicate action plans for mechanics to understand, as well as communicate well to senior management.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Physical work on wing is required as needed.
  • Must be able to use ladders, work stands, lifts, etc. and be able to work on all areas of the aircraft that may require access during performance of duties.
  • Physical exertion such as: pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking and light lifting of boxes, bags, files and electronic equipment not in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain certification of aircraft run/taxi of company aircraft and vehicles.
  • Ability to stand or sit while working for long periods of time.
  • Work is performed at the airport, outstations and various repair material vendors.

USD $84,800.00/Yr.
