Overview

The Program Manager, Inflight Mobile Device Management serves as the IFS MDM subject matter expert, managing the mobile technology ecosystem that supports critical Inflight operational workflows. The position is responsible for reliable day-to-day program operations while leading key MDM projects, device lifecycle initiatives, and technology improvements. Working closely with Delta partners, vendors, internal stakeholders, and device users, the role helps ensure Inflight MDM operates reliably, efficiently, and is positioned to support evolving business and operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day MDM operations for all Endeavor Inflight iOS devices, including provisioning, deployment, configuration, assignment, inventory management, supervision, and lifecycle activities using Workspace ONE and Apple Business Manager.
  • Manage operational relationships with vendors and service providers supporting the mobile device ecosystem, including device logistics, repairs, connectivity services, MDM platforms, and internal IFS stakeholders, to execute configuration changes, resolve issues, and maintain alignment across device management workflows.
  • Lead MDM projects and major technology implementations, including device refreshes, platform transitions, testing, deployment, documentation, training, and operational handoff; develop project plans, manage timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and proactively address risks and dependencies.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for Tier 1 support (SkyPro Ops Center), providing advanced troubleshooting for device, app, connectivity, and configuration issues; maintain and improve troubleshooting documentation and knowledge resources.
  • Lead device lifecycle management activities, including inventory forecasting, device refresh planning, replacement strategies, spare pool management, disposition of retired assets, and coordination of large device deployment projects.
  • Maintain accurate device inventory, assignment, and asset-tracking records; conduct audits and reconciliation activities to ensure accountability for company-issued devices and accessories.
  • Monitor device compliance, mobile data usage, operating system adoption, connectivity, and utilization metrics; recommend and implement improvements to device workflows, settings, and operational processes that enhance reliability, usability, efficiency, and support readiness for frontline employees.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to SkyPro Special Assignment Flight Attendant(s) supporting MDM processes and engagement events.
  • Support MDM program strategy, governance, and roadmap development, identifying opportunities to improve service, reliability, cost efficiency, and the employee technology experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or two-year technical degree, or equivalent experience required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience supporting enterprise mobile technology, device operations, or MDM technical programs.
  • Hands-on experience administering enterprise MDM platforms, specifically Workspace ONE and Apple Business Manager.
  • Strong project management experience required, leading complex technical initiatives from planning through implementation, including managing timelines, risks, dependencies, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Skilled proficiency with Apple’s iOS operating system on both the iPhone and iPad.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, curious, and self-directed mindset with the ability to anticipate needs, proactively find solutions, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and write clear documentation using written guidance, screen shares, and diagrams.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Position requires some physical exertion such as pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking and light lifting of boxes, bags, files, etc. not in excess of 30 lbs.
  • Withstand long periods of sitting. Computer work, in a typical office environment, subject to critical deadlines.
  • Be available by phone or email before, during, and after business hours, within reasonable means, as needed.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Some travel required.
